Will do its job in the rain. Very thin if you are looking for something more than just a "rain blocker"
My daughter is 7 years old and wears an 8 on top and 10 on bottom. I ordered this for him in the size 10. A bit long at the hip for now. Has elastic wrists so sleeve length is fine. Lightweight feel, it is on the thinner side. He likes it and should fit him into next year.
I bought this for my daughter so that he could have a light jacket/rain jacket. It is made very well and has had no issues with rain seeping in so the waterproofing seems to work well. It looks good and is lasting well. Fits as expected.
Bought for my daughter for our Grand Canyon trip. Great lightweight jacket on a rainy or breezy day. Worked great wearing over layers, as well!! Super comfy, he was warm and dry. He loves wearing it. Travels great, folds/rolls up tight. Washes great. An excellent purchase. Still looks new.

Great jacket used as top layer for a snow day. It is thin, fit great for our 4 year old with a tiny bit of room. Wouldn't use for warmth. More like a thin layer that can be easily removed when the sun comes out.
Great rain jacket for my daughter. Keeps him dry in light to moderate rain. It's light and breathable. We haven't had to use it in a downpour, but I doubt most kids wearing that size would have to deal with one for prolonged periods.
My daughter is particular about his jacket fit, and this is not his favorite, but it works and keeps him dry. It is slim fit, so he can’t wear it over his Sherpa lined hoody, but could be worn over a thinner sweatshirt.
Love this jacket!! If it’s cold we’ll have to add a fleece below it since it’s not lined. We live in the Pacific Northwest so we get a lot of rain and our little guy adores this jacket because it matches his daddy’s.
This ran a little small on my toddler. I would size up. My 5 year old has a really nice glennaker rain jacket that I bought off zappos. It's much better quality than this one. This felt very thin & a little cheap for the price but I kept it because they have a good reputation.
LOVE this jacket! My daughter is the pickiest. Needed something “lightweight” so he wouldn’t be tempted to take it off if he’s sweating.. don’t want him catching a chill! It’s warm enough on a Southern California rainy day with a long sleeve shirt underneath, but I bought it so he could wear a light hoodie under it if he wants. Love it.
It's very lightweight, as described. It won't take up much room in a school backpack or add much weight to a camping backpack. This jacket feels like a windbreaker on the outside but has a light raincoat finish on the inside.
